Join us each Thursday evening from 7:00 - 10:00
for a night of local talent.
Sign up starts at 6:30 pm and the list fills up fast.
A typical night starts with our host
Kyle Swartzwelder
kicking off the event with an opening set. We then
follow the
ordering of the sign up sheet with a slot or two reserved for the scheduled feature performer.

August 2010 - Join Burlap and Bean in the
Battle of the Open Mics
Here's how it works:
Attend any of the participating open mic's from August 1st-20th, 2010.
Sign up to be considered as that venue's representative in the Battle of the Open Mics to be held at Steel City Coffee House on Wednesday, August 25th at 8:00 PM.
Each open mic will have TWO representatives.
1st Place Winner will receive:
$150, $30 Gift Card from Steel City A mini-tour of performance slots at each venue in 2010/2011 music season.
2nd Place winner receives: $25 Gift Card from Steel City.
-Participants may sign up and perform at any of the participating venue open mics between August 1st and August 20th.
-The open mic host will choose two open mic participants to represent his/her venue. No voting necessary.
-Participants must be available to perform at the Battle of the Open Mics (if chosen) on Wednesday
August 25th
-Employees and Open Mic Hosts of participating venues are not allowed to participate.
-First Place Winners of previous Steel City Coffee House competitions are not allowed to participate.
-Bands must be 5 or less members.
-Performers chosen by the venues MUST perform in the same configuration at the finale as they did at the open mic they participated in.
AT THE FINALE AT STEEL CITY COFFEE HOUSE, THE AUDIENCE VOTES FOR THE BEST OPEN MIC ACT.
